Minecraft builds the Edison Memorial Tower

Just when you think you've seen it all, you come across Minecraft being used in a real world situation.  GE (General Electric) has a Youtube channel () where they use the Minecraft video game to 're-build' real world structures.  This is pretty incredible and is definitely using Minecraft 'out-side of the box'!

Minecraft for Android Released

Great news for Minecraft fans: the addictive construction game is finally available on all Android devices. In case you haven’t heard of Minecraft before, it is a sandbox building indie video game that puts players in a world where that they can build up to their heart’s content. The game took the world by storm since its release in 2009 and has proven to be an extremely successful despite the game still being in development (players can pay to play the beta version of the game).

Check out the Minecraft Gun Mod video posted by Bluexephos.  It's funny and entertaining.  Be careful if you are at work, some of the language is NSFW.  Also read our quick review of Lambert's blog post about the Minecraft Gun Mode.  You definitely want to use some caution while loading up this mod.
